I took the boys to see Santa in San Antonio this past Saturday and we had a great time. On the drive down, I talked to Andon about visiting Santa to get him warmed up to the idea of seeing him. We talked about his white beard and his red suit and how nice Santa would be and how Audie was going to sit on his lap too. After waiting in line and watching the other kids sit on Santa's lap, I thought hmmmm.. this may not work out to well. To my suprise, after a few high five's from Santa, Andon crawled up on his lap for just a second - long enough to get a quick snapshot!

Christmas portrait time!
I took the boys to The Picture People in San Antonio on Sunday to have their Christmas portraits done and it was a bit of a nightmare to say the least. After a little over an hour drive, Andon was not wanting to cooperate at all. You would tell him to look at the photographer and he would do the opposite. Any other time he would pose for a photograph - but not that day -when I was paying good money for it! Anyway, after several tries and different poses, we managed to get a few good shots. Here is what we came up with!

Audie Taylor - 5 Months
This past month has been an active month for little Audie. He has reached several milestones such as rolling over and eating solid foods. He responds to his name and is always smiling. His favorite time of day is in the mornings. He always wakes up with a smile and enjoys watching his silly brother try to entertain him while we lay in bed. He is growing so fast - at his four month check up he weighed 17 pounds! He has grown to hate his car seat, which we discovered during our recent trip to the great grandparents home for Thanksgiving. Thank goodness he is moving up to his new toddler seat that Nana is getting him for Christmas! Maybe he will enjoy that better. He has been a super sweet baby and I have savoured every minute of it because I know they grow so fast. I can't wait to see what the next few months hold in store for us!

It never ceases to amaze me......
So, I was busy in the kitchen and Andon was too quite in his bedroom, so I went to check on him and found this! He had nearly dumped a full container a fish food in the bowl and was eating on the rest! Come on, really? So, I had to take some extra time to save the fish and clean out his bowl. Umm.. I have to admit, this isn't the first time this has happend, so I am getting pretty good at it. Yes, the fish food is now hidden. There is never a dull moment in our house and I wouldn't have it any other way!

This Little Piggy........
Audie has discovered his toes this week. Only the right foot though! He gets so excited when he grabs them and try to reach them to his mouth, but I think his chunky legs get in the way. He has also started rolling over from his tummy to his back. It is in stages. First on his side and then eventually to his back. It won't be long and he will be on the move!

Audie Eats!
Audie had his first meal at the table with the rest of the family this week! It was rice cereal, topped off with a few pears...yummy!! He did really well propped up in his little bumbo seat and made several funny faces, trying to decide if he liked it or not, but after a few bites you could tell he was enjoying it. He is growing so fast, I cannot believe he is already eating solids. Just more mess to clean up, but it is all worth it!

More on the Red Raiders........
Being the avid Red Raider fan that I am, I keep up with all of the local Tech news and blogs. This is by far one of the best I have found lately.

Proud to be a Red Raider!!
Well, it is the morning after the biggest win in Tech football history and I am so excited about the futre of Tech football. It has taken a few years for Mike Leach to build the team we have this year and we are finally getting the recognition we deserve. Bring on OSU and a future Number One ranking for Texas Tech!
